Always assume that the handle will be very hot during use and after cooking. Always use the appropriate protection to insulate your hand from the heat of the handle.

Warning

Prior to initial use, always wash with hot water and mild detergent at home and dry immediately. Use only nylon pads or scrapers to clean surfaces. Metal pads and scrapers can damage and/or remove seasoning. Always allow components to dry completely before storing. Remove stains by scouring with a paste of course salt or baking soda with warm water. Never rinse or submerge a hot pan into water as this can damage the pan.

Versatile pan

The deep fry pan is a very versatile pan for camping and at home. Where the bottom meets the sides is rounded enough to be good at sauteing and also getting a spatula to work with the deep sides. It is not that much lighter than standard cast iron pans, which is fine. Calling a pan shipped from China "ecological" because it is lighter and uses less material is disingenuous marketing jargon. Also the dimensions given are extremely vague. Major dimension- 10"? The pan is actually 10.5" rim to rim. Also, the dome lid is okay for most things, but I purchased a 10.5 rimmed cast iron lid from another brand so that I can use it like a dutch oven on the fire with a trivet and coals on the lid.
