Great little mug for cofee and camping. Like the volume markings inside.
It would be nice to be able to clip it to the outside of a bag empty and have it ride right-side up so the inner cup didn't have a tendancy to slip out of the insulating sleeve. I've clipped it with a carabiner and nearly lost mine. I actually found an inner cup while out backpacking, picked it up and came across a guy further down the trail with an empty sleeve clipped to his bag. I gave him the cup back and he was grateful, and lucky.
I designed a mod to solve this problem: https://www.printables.com/model/977604-webbing-clip-to-mod-camping-mug-gsi-outdoors-infin. I'd recommend you guys do something similar to the stock cup you sell. At the very least, sew a loop into the top of the handle to clip to, so the cup stays upright.
I also cut-out the insulation around the drink opening to keep from getting coffee on the sleeve.
With these two mods I use this thing all the time now, on short hikes in the morning to sit in the woods or on the beach with my coffee.
I have had a couple of these cups and loved them. So I bought my sweetie one in her color. She loved it.
I have had these for 3 years and they are great. Nice feel in my hands, they keep beverages hot and I love that the inner cup doubles as a measuring cup. The outer sleeves have stayed snug despite washing. Great value for the price. GSI, how about a fourth color option?
I love this mug. It kept my 16 oz hot beverages hot on my months long winter AT hike. The lid also helps keep things hot and limits spills when you have a few too many. The thin looking insulation is surprisingly effective.
I have been backpacking and camping for a long time. This is definitely my favorite coffee cup for outdoors I have had. It keeps my coffee hot, very light and tough and it has a built in measuring cup. Don’t make the mistake of getting one of those titanium or other metal cups. The uninsulated ones burn your lips and the insulated ones are too heavy….trust me.
