Danger

Always assume that the handle will be very hot during use and after cooking. Always use the appropriate protection to insulate your hand from the heat of the handle.

Warning

Prior to initial use, always wash with hot water and mild detergent at home and dry immediately. Use only nylon pads or scrapers to clean surfaces. Metal pads and scrapers can damage and/or remove seasoning. Always allow components to dry completely before storing. Remove stains by scouring with a paste of course salt or baking soda with warm water. Never rinse or submerge a hot pan into water as this can damage the pan.

Excellent Finish & Function

I've had the Guidecast 12" Frying Pan for two years now. I also own heirloom and heirloom quality cast iron pans that have a polished interior finish. The Guidecast pan also has a polished interior finish which makes it very non-stick as long as it is seasoned several times. It takes several seasonings to get an even finish because it is so smooth and it takes awhile before the seasoning will adhere uniformly so the first couple of times the seasoning comes out kind of "splotchy".
The Guidecast is so good that it rivals my very expensive cast iron pans in the kitchen. It is a good pan for base camping or car camping. I just wish GSI would make the handle 2" longer to make the pan more friendly for open campfire cooking. Lengthen the handle and it's a five star pan for the price. Hope GSI listens to this advice.

Bought a set of Skillets 8 and 10-inch seasoned twice You can cook them with high heat better than high end nine stuck pans
